Project Manager - IT

Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering complex and strategic IT projects within a global environment. The Project Manager will be required to manage and co-ordinate all project activities from initiation to implementation including project set-up, kick-off, requirements analysis, solution design, build, test, production implementation, post implementation review, trainings, issue resolution, status reporting and lessons learned. This individual will work on multiple projects while leading and co-ordinating cross-company teams responsible for the overall delivery of an assigned project.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex IT projects from initiation to implementation
  • Accountable for delivering medium to large projects on time, within defined scope and within budget
  • Responsible for project planning and resource allocation across multiple teams
  • Ensures project methodologies, project delivery processes and implementation management processes are followed
  • Accountable for project documentation including project plans, timelines, status reports, and issue/risk logs
  • Responsible for controlling and monitoring performance across all aspects of an assigned project
  • Provides support to our Client's delivery stream and customers to define business requirements while taking ownership for delivering quality solutions
  • Responsible for prioritisation of tasks across and within projects
  • Provides sales support and business development initiatives

Job Requirements

  • Proven success in delivering medium to large complex IT projects within budget and specified timeframes, while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong knowledge of software development cycle
  • International travel may be required
  • 3 to 5 years’ project management experience (or a Bachelor's Degree)
  • Finance business knowledge is a strong advantage
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment across geographical boundaries
  • Quality focused with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a drive and commitment towards project delivery
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to perform project tasks effectively, while managing time and priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
  • Confident with preparing presentations, proposing solutions and driving decisions
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
