Our Client focus on providing IT service support to businesses in many sectors, such as education IT support, hotel IT support and retail IT support. With the emerging Cloud Computing Technology boom at the moment, the market differences are becoming smaller and smaller. Our client currently provide IT Support and IT Maintenance to a variety of different client sectors.
Co-ordinate the delivery of projects for clients from project initiation through to close out.
Overview of Role:
Co-ordinate the delivery of projects for external clients from project initiation through to internal debrief. Responsibility to deliver projects on time and within budget from initation through to sign off, invoice and debrief. This is a customer facing role and the successful candidate will be required to liaise with customers, third party vendors, multiple internal teams and management. This role is to support the Sales and Engineering teams.
Key elements of this role:
- Further develop and roll out our client's Project Process and Life Cycle;
- Work with Sales team and Engineering team and clients to ensure succinct project delivery document is written;
- Be the go to person for Sales, Engineering and client for all project related items;
- Manage third party’s for installation jobs;
- Ensure post project documentation is completed and given to the client;
- Be supportive, not disruptive in working with sales and engineering teams who can have opposite points of view within a shared goal;
- Ask questions, arrange meetings, document answers to ensure to get all the required information in advance of project and throughout full duration of project;
- Educating, presenting our clients Project Methodology to clients. (this is how we do it);
Tasks:
- Project plan preparation and ownership through project delivery;
- Documentation is a key element of this role;
- Ensure everyone working on the project has a clear understanding of the business needs of the client. It is essential that this is to the forefront of the project plan;
- Create documentation for projects including plans, Gantt charts, resource plans, status reports risk logs etc;
- Co-ordinate delivery within budget, scope, quality and time requirements;
- Allocation of project tasks to project team;
- Supported by Service Delivery Manager;
- Working very closely with Service Delivery Manager to plan, schedule and deliver installations;
- Risk & issues identification and Change Management throughout the project;
- Participate in project teams to implement project deliverables and lead coordination between stakeholders;
- Forecast and report on actual revenue for each project supported by Service Delivery Manager;
- Manage handover of project with customer and or customer support;
- Change Management throughout the project delivery;
- Work with sales personnel on pre-sales tasks towards a successful contractual agreement;
- Report weekly to the Management Team on project status of each project;
- Produce weekly status reports;
- Track and monitor Project Methodology Improvements (lessons learned);
- Get sign off for all projects from clients;
- Maintain and update Project Toolkit / Documentation;
Education:
- Level 8 Degree in Computing or Business related faculty;
- Project Management Qualification preferable;
Other:

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
- Demonstrated commercial acumen;
- Excellent Presentation Skills;
- Ability to co-ordinate technical resources throughout the lifecycle of the project;
Desirable
- Background in IT hardware solutions implementations (experience in Microsoft Technologies advantageous);
- Good understanding of complex technical solutions;
