Global IT PMO Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an Global IT PMO Manager to run the PMO at one of our large multinational clients. They need to be very experienced with PMP qualifications. They will need to be competent with finances and auditing within the PMO. The space is retail, so is very fast moving.

This will be a 12 month fixed term contract.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

•       Line management of the PMO team, providing coaching and guidance across the disciplines of Change Managing, Planning, Financial Control, Reporting and general Programme administration

•       Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices

•       Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests

•       Identifying and/or developing frameworks and methodologies that aid the programme to deliver to time, cost and quality standards

•       Deputising for the Programme Director and Programme Leads as required  

Experience required:

•       Experience working as a Global PMO Manager/Lead/Director

•       Track record of improving PMO areas such as reporting, financial management, project planning and communication channels

•       Outstanding relationship building and presentation skills, with experience of partnering with senior Stakeholders and advising experienced Project Managers


•       Excellent PMO skills and a solid understanding of the systems development lifecycle

•       Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

•       Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

•       Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships

•       Ability to influence and motivate others within cross functional teams

•       Possess a continuous improvement mindset and have the ability to design new and improve existing processes

•       Detail oriented, with well-developed analytical skills

•       Ability to perform under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency

•       Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment

•       Proficiency with MS Office suite - Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint

•       Use of MS Visio & MS SharePoint
