Cloud Business Architect

Job Description

Our Client, a Market Leading IT Services Multinational are looking to recruit a Cloud Business Architect.​

Will take the lead from an architectural and consulting perspective of advising clients of how best to enable their ICT environment and Enterprise Applications to support their companies Digital Transformation. Will help in the development of existing infrastructure consulting team to deliver architected solutions, including that of a Hybrid Cloud to enable such transformation. Works closely with clients in defining business challenges, identifying issues, and priorities; develops solutions that advance client's business strategy and goals. Combines consultative skills and technical expertise with sales ability to design complex solutions, which include; cloud, SDX, HCI, converged, EA integration, virtualization and business continuity solutions for mid-sized companies to large enterprises. To succeed in this role, you will need to be hands-on, hard-working and energetic team player with the ability to work at a C level in a fast-moving technology environment.


  • Help build the Hybrid Cloud Practice in working with Sales Management, Services Delivery and Executive management team to build offerings, enable sales, and identify strategy for long-term success of the practise;
  • Ongoing development of Hybrid Cloud Practise Strategy to maximise the opportunity in the Irish and European markets;
  • Build out the presales process within the Hybrid Cloud practise and with scale develop the existing vendor focused presales team to help support the function;
  • Identify business opportunities through proactive communications with existing customers & prospects through participating in sales and marketing campaigns;


  • The candidate will have a senior level architecting in a client organisation, consulting or specific Hybrid ICT solutions presales background within IT and specifically in the area of Hybrid Cloud, SDX, AAS, DevOps, Data Management;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Track record in delivering revenue generating consulting projects;
  • Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies and competitors;
  • Proven commercial awareness and strong financial acumen;
  • Experience managing/leading teams consisting of technical presales consultants, product specialists, project managers and vendor personnel would also be desirable;
  • Able to inspire, motivate and lead by example on projects and assignments;
  • Self-sufficient;
  • Engaging and results focused;


  • Strong sales skills, confident and professional;
  • Must be able to have business level conversation with customers and assist them in deploying solutions to meet business requirements;
  • A champion of customer service, focussed on establishing every customer as a reference;
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments;
  • Commercially astute, able to analyse complex business and financial data;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to effectively manage multiple tasks without compromising attention to detail;
