Web Leads Development Manager

Job Description

We need your talented marketing mind to focus on nurturing leads and presenting our suite security products in a compelling and thoughtful way. Your goal is to qualify and convert contacts into highly qualified leads that can be passed on to our sales teams and resellers.

As a Web Leads Development Manager, you are responsible for understanding what activities increase conversion rate throughout a leads lifecycle resulting in Sales Qualified Leads and ultimately a closed sale. Leveraging leads from our database and using online marketing tactics such as email, webinars, events and our website, you’ll develop stage-appropriate programs to develop, qualify and convert leads. You will engage prospects and add value through content, resources, and other calls-to-action. Your offer arsenal includes globally produced assets, standardised Marketo programs, a 30-day free trial of our products, Thought-Leadership content, social media channels, blog posts, and more.

You have a unique mix of database and email marketing know-how. You see Marketing as an integral part of the sales process. You are not afraid of goals – success for this position will be measured in hitting specific monthly Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) targets. You are smart, creative, energetic, and love a challenge. Qualifications (EMEA Qualifications/Professional Certifications):

  • You are talented at creating compelling content including subject lines that get emails opened and copy that converts;
  • You have database marketing skills to impress, know how to segment the data, and craft messages and assets that appeal at different stages of the sales and marketing funnel;
  • You have a thorough understanding of the lead and sales lifecycle, can identify the stage of each prospect, and convert them with your marketing expertise;
  • You are a unique combination of technical and process oriented, but can write and think outside the conventional thinking of email marketing;
  • You are a strategic thinker, eager to take on responsibility and ownership of marketing metrics;

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create the strategy and plan, acquire assets (email, landing pages, etc) and collaborate on building the programs for both point-in-time and automated/triggered programs in Marketo for nurturing our leads. This is all done collaboratively with material produced by Global Marketing and adjusting it to meet the needs of Europe;
  • Understand how best to leverage the technologies we have – Marketo and Salesforce – to aid in the development of web leads into the sales cycle. This includes understanding the integration of the two platforms and knowing how to get the most out of each of them individually and together;
  • You will be the European ‘expert’ on Marketo with the ability to advise, mentor, recommend and showcase what Marketo (and SFDC) can do for lead management and converting leads through the funnel;
  • Work hand-in-hand with the marketing teams across Europe to understand their demand generation plans so that you have a clear view of what needs done, how it needs to be executed, and the resources required to deliver on time;
  • Analyse and understand the segments and profiles of our opt-in lead database;
  • Track weekly/monthly/quarterly actuals by program against monthly targets for Marketing Qualified (MQL) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs);
  • Continuously monitor, test and optimise messaging, offers and online experiences to drive the greatest conversion rates;
  • Continuously test the flow of assets, content and messaging to deliver the right & relevant content, at the right time, to the right audience – in order to move leads through to SQL as quickly as possible;
  • Own the internal communication with sales and other stake-holders around the lead nurturing process and provide lead qualification reports;

Experienced Required (EMEA Only)

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience;
  • Expert in Marketo, Eloqua marketing automation and smart list optimization to build and optimize the right nurturing tracks;
  • Excellent command of all marketing tactics, not just email;
  • Excellent writer and communicator with the ability to align that communication with the larger company tone;
  • Excellent ability to analyse data and interpret the “story” or actions;
  • Very strong attention to detail;
  • Equal strengths in technical (marketing automation program structure) and creative skills (email copy, content topics, hosting webinars, etc);
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment;
  • Great attitude!;
