Area Manager - Sales

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets and accounts
  • Provide customer insight to the customer and category teams to develop an aligned sales plan
  • Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Manage team performance against sales targets , identifies risk and gaps, ensure plans in place, setting and tracking of Monthly targets and KPI’s.
  • Set up and utilise planning , tracking and reporting systems covering all sales team KPI’s
  • Identify and execute plans for new Business opportunities  and profitable organic growth within the area
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives, effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Effective and efficient management of a sales team deals with any HR/IR issues as and when they arise

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Ability to lead , coach and develop a sales team
  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Highly organized and with the ability to manage own time and that of others to maximize opportunities with customers
  • Demonstrable experience of, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation,
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Full Clean Driving Licence
